A good example is the development within J\u00f6rntr\u00e4hus, which now builds 20 apartments in central Skellefte\u00e5.<br \/>\n- There is a lot of positive things happening in Skellefte\u00e5 right now and the pressure on the housing market is expected to increase in the next few years. Our block-built apartment houses with high prefabrication allow us to offer more smart options with low environmental impact, says CEO Arvid Cedergren.<\/h3>\n<p>J\u00f6rntr\u00e4hus has previously been best known for its timbered holiday houses. When the company became part of the Contractor Bygg group in 2013, work began on developing factory-made block houses, with pre-assembled outer walls, windows and panels. In 2018 J\u00f6rntr\u00e4hus launched the first apartment project on a plot at the intersection Svedjev\u00e4gen\/Torsgatan in Skellefte\u00e5. The neighbourhood V\u00e4nligheten will be ready for occupancy at the end of 2019 and consists of five houses with a total of 20 four-room apartments of 100 m2. Arvid Cedergren explains:<br \/>\n- One of the most important advantages of the block houses is that they are built with a relatively high degree of prefabrication already in the factory, which reduces construction time on site. Then, of course, the climate issue is important for us who work with wood as a construction material. The more options with low environmental impact offered the better. We are proud to be able to contribute to a positive development. For J\u00f6rntr\u00e4hus, the apartments in Skellefte\u00e5 are part of a long-term strategic investment, which complements the company's offering in holiday houses.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For J\u00f6rntr\u00e4hus, the apartments in Skellefte\u00e5 are part of a long-term strategic investment, which complements the company's offering in holiday houses.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>- Of course, Northvolt's establishment of the new battery factory in Skellefte\u00e5 is a factor that affects the need in the housing market. But for us at J\u00f6rntr\u00e4hus this is a business development where we look further than that.
