ANTLER HOUSES - WITH A PASSION FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

In 2024, we further developed our construction method on the Pro side for our concept houses - townhouses, apartment blocks, public buildings. Now this option is also available for our house lovers who want to build a holiday home, villa or semi-detached house and want an even more sustainable solution with a smaller CO2 footprint and economically more sustainable energy use.

- More and more of our house speculators are asking wise questions about how we build our wooden houses and what materials we choose to protect the environment and energy consumption, says our house expert Gunnar Ölund.

- It is fun that we are constantly challenged by our stakeholders - it also means that we at Jörnträhus must be on our toes and always be at the forefront, Gunnar continues.

"Many people want to make an environmentally smart house purchase."

OTHER POSITIVE ASPECTS

Our traditional wooden frames with mineral wool insulation are still our standard solution. They are also extremely high quality, compliant and easy to handle when erecting the house kit.

- The new and more environmentally friendly building elements with lightweight beams from Masonite Beams and wood fibre insulation from Svenska Termoträ are now available as an optional extra for all our villas and holiday homes," Gunnar explains.

The new method of construction also reduces waste and spillage in the job of insulating the wall elements. The wood fibre insulation is injected in the form of loose wool and fills all the spaces efficiently without creating waste pieces as previous insulation methods could do.

- Many people want to make an environmentally smart house purchase and it feels good that we can now offer the even more intricate wall elements also for the private market, concludes Gunnar.

FACTS

External wall with wood fibre insulation

The wall provides good construction economics, not least by minimising waste, and it is also excellent from an energy point of view. The lightweight beam construction reduces thermal bridges and thus provides a well-insulated wall.

Construction from the inside out:

  1. Gypsum GF 15 mm.
  2. Plywood 15 mm.
  3. Rule 32 x 45 mm, landscape.
  4. Vapour barrier.
  5. Lightweight beam HI250 + wood fibre insulation lambda = 0.038 W/mK.
  6. External inorganic windscreen 9 mm.
