Major investment Jörnträhus strengthens sales organisation

Jorntrahus New salesman Thomas Wahlberg holiday home kits house models

Jörnträhus's goal is to triple its turnover by 2024. As part of this, the organisation is now being strengthened with Thomas Wahlberg as the new sales and project manager.

There is great optimism and confidence in the future at Jörnträhus right now. The house manufacturer aims to increase its 2019 turnover of SEK 65 million to SEK 200 million by 2024. In order to achieve these goals, a change in the way it works with sales will be implemented.

- We are noticing a great interest in our products and sales are rolling along at a good pace. This applies both to the private sector and to the PRO section for companies, where we supply a lot of building components to Contractor's various projects, but also to other contracting companies that have discovered our product and flexible way of working together. At the same time, we feel that we can become even stronger in our own home region, from the coastline to the mountains," says Mikael Lindberg.

- Thomas is an extremely experienced and skilful salesperson, who has a large network and is confident as a person.

Focus on the retail market

An important part of Jörnträhus's offensive initiative will be Thomas Wahlberg, who has 20 years behind him as a salesman and brand manager for Volkswagen at Norrlandsbil. In his new role at Jörnträhus, he will focus on sales to the private market in Västerbotten, starting 1 September.

- "Thomas is an extremely experienced and skilful salesman, who has a large network and is confident as a person. In addition, he has a wonderful drive and is perceived as genuinely interested in people," says Mikael Lindberg.

For Thomas Wahlberg himself, it will be an abrupt change of industry, where his sales focus now shifts from cars to wooden houses. And the fact is that the idea of changing career direction came when he bought a holiday home from Jörnträhus a couple of years ago.

- I think it's good to shake yourself up sometimes and find new challenges.

Increasing market share is an attractive idea

- I think it's good to shake yourself up sometimes and find new challenges. When I bought my house, I started thinking along these lines, and now it's going to be exciting to get involved in a whole new world," says Thomas Wahlberg.

In his new role at Jörnträhus, he hopes to be able to utilise his previous experience to help the company achieve its ambitious goals: "For me, sales is about being a good listener and giving people time to come to a good decision. It should feel good in the stomach afterwards too and I intend to take that with me in my work at Jörnträhus. At the same time, it's a tantalising thought that the company wants to increase turnover and continue to gain market share.
