Contractor has won the tender to build 64 apartments - divided into four two-storey houses - at Morö Backe in Skellefteå and we at Jörnträhus will deliver the prefabricated house modules. The client is the municipal housing company Skebo.
- We see that all our previous collaborations and assignments to produce apartment buildings for various property companies are bearing fruit and that demand is high - it feels very good, says Peter Gyllenberg, CEO of Jörnträhus.
The homes will be built in an area close to schools, services and green areas. The project will offer a mix of housing, with 16 4-bedroom apartments of approximately 85 square metres, 24 3-bedroom apartments of approximately 75 square metres, and 24 2-bedroom apartments of approximately 55 square metres.
All apartments will be equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer, while the smaller apartments will have combination machines. All apartments will have either a balcony or a patio at ground level.

Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2025, and the apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy in spring 2026. In connection with the new apartments, there will also be 192 weather-protected bicycle parking spaces and 68 parking spaces for cars, including six charging points, making it easier for residents to choose sustainable transport options.
