CUSTOMER REPORT STRYCKSELE
- Jörn wooden houses were the first thing we looked at. It felt right as I am from Jörn and we quickly found a house model that we were happy with, says Niclas Burström who built a Strycksele in Boviken, Skellefteå.
Niclas and Jenny wouldn't change a thing if they had to go through the whole building process again.
- Strycksele turned out exactly as we wanted it both in terms of appearance and floor plan. However, we chose to make a small change that suited us. We removed a bedroom and placed a laundry room there. Then we created a walk-in wardrobe with an entrance from the bedroom where the laundry room was on the original drawing," says Niclas.
"We wouldn't change anything if we had to go through the whole process again."
PERMANENTLY RESIDENT
On the plot in Boviken there used to be an older cottage. The location is a bit private with a few neighbours and a view of the forest. Niclas and Jenny lived in the cottage for four summers before deciding to settle there permanently, but then in a new development.
- We lived here every summer for four years. We knew that this is where we would build our house. The process took about 2.5 years from when we decided until the house was finished. There are so many choices and I was away for periods," says Niclas, who plays hockey in the SHL with Skellefteå AIK on a daily basis and is also a member of the national team.
In his absence, his father Tobbe has been standing in and keeping an eye on the construction.
TOP NOTCH CONTACTS
Dad Tobbe, who is a trader, thinks it's important to buy locally - but of course he doesn't want to compromise on quality and flexibility. For this reason, they have never discussed any other supplier than Jörnträhus. Tobbe has at times had a great deal of involvement in the construction and describes the contact with Jörnträhus as "top notch".
- The contact has been top notch in my world. I am super satisfied. There have been no problems. If there is any concern, it is solved. The people who work at Jörnträhus are good people who build solid houses, says Tobbe.
"The people who work at Jörnträhus are good people who build good houses."
MIGHTY RESCUE
- When the house comes in blocks and is lifted into place with the big crane, it goes pretty fast. It is impressive. It's quick to get the shell tight, then it takes several hundred hours to get it completely ready. It was incredibly nice when everything was finished and we could move in," says Niclas.
