Just before the holidays, Contractor Sundsvall signed a contract for a really big assignment for the client Hedern Fastigheter. A total of 24 new terraced houses are to be built in Sidsjö, just south-west of Sundsvall, in a deal worth just over SEK 61 million.
First up are 16 terraced houses to be built inside a large concrete building, which, because it is listed, cannot have its external design changed. Therefore, the building has been blown out internally, to make room for the terraced houses that Contractor will build starting after the holidays.
In parallel with this project, but with a later start of construction, eight brand new terraced houses will also be built by Contractor in the same area. These terraced houses are divided into two blocks, which are built in blocks and delivered by us at Jörnträhus.
- We are convinced that this living environment will be appealing to many people," says Anders Rönnqvist, Head of Operations at Hedern Fastigheter.
The 16 terraced houses being built in the existing building are about 100 square metres each and will be ready for occupancy in October 2022, while the eight completely newly built houses are about 136 square metres and will be ready at the end of November the same year. But already now it is possible to register an interest with the broker Bjurfors.
- The feeling is that there will be great interest, partly because of the location. It is close to the centre of Sundsvall and the residents will have a nice view of Lake Sidsjön. The newly built terraced houses will be located behind the existing building, but will have roof terraces so that the residents will also have a view of the lake. In addition, not many terraced houses are being built here in Sundsvall, which makes the project particularly interesting. Sundsvall municipality also has a goal of creating 5,000 new jobs within a few years, which will require even more housing to be built. At Contractor, we want to continue to contribute to this positive development," concludes Stefan Rex.
- "Of course we are proud to be involved in delivering our prefabricated house kits to such an exclusive project in this cool location. It will be awesome, I am absolutely convinced of that," concludes Jörnträhus CEO Mikael Lindberg.
