Our house models are popular in the ski resort of Idre in Dalarna - from late autumn until week 12, nine houses are being delivered. They range from the Strycksele and Björkdal models to customised houses. The majority are holiday homes but two will be used as permanent accommodation.
- "The houses were already sold a year ago and the great demand for our models continues, which is naturally gratifying. In addition to these, five more suterrain houses have been ordered and five more are in the pipeline," says Ola Jonsson, salesman for Jörnträhus, who is stationed in Idre.
He says that there is a positive spirit in the whole Idrefjällen area now and that many new plots have been released recently.
- It's good to be on site and have local roots. We also have a great co-operation here with the contractor Fredrik & Morgan Construction which is also responsible for all subcontractors, such as electricity and plumbing, when the houses are built.
"We deliver quality and the craftsmen also appreciate that."
TAILWINDS FOR WOODEN HOUSES IN THE AREA
Ola Jonsson feels a real tailwind for Jörnträhus in the area and believes that the buildings that are now being built will have a ripple effect in the form of more business in the coming years.
- The houses now being built will contribute to increased demand this year and next year. Jörnträhus has attractive houses that are ideal for mountain environments. Our main competitive advantage is our high quality and our local presence. The fact that we are flexible and good at meeting the customer's wishes also helps, some of our current standard models have actually arisen directly from customer-specific ideas.
As a local resident, Ola Jonsson also hears the buzz among craftsmen and word of mouth marketing should not be underestimated.
- We deliver quality and the craftsmen also appreciate that. They are satisfied and think we deliver solid houses.
