Jörnträhus popular in the construction industry

As you know, the mood at Jörnträhus is very positive right now, with an order intake in 2021 that is really impressive. Something that is good to know is that it is not only our group parent Contractor that assembles our house kits, but also several other construction companies in the region.

- "We think it's great that there are so many construction companies in addition to Contractor that have contracts on our projects. There are probably five construction companies here in Skellefteå alone that assemble our houses and more are coming all the time," says Jörnträhus CEO Mikael Lindberg, who continues:
- We have a good network of contractors in many parts of the country. So even if we do not perform any installations ourselves, it usually works well for our customers to find good local building contractors who can solve the installation of the house in the locality.

LIKE BUILDING WITH LEGO

One explanation for the high interest in house kits may be that there are so many construction companies that are busy. With the shortage of resources for carpenters in the region, more people are in favour of learning how to assemble house kits.

- The assembly is much faster when the houses come in blocks instead of building with loose timber, so that is certainly a factor that comes into play. In addition, I have received very positive feedback about the fit when I have made site visits to the construction sites. We get a lot of praise for the tight tolerances, where the experience is that it really is like building with Lego. This is of course linked to the industrial production in Jörn, which means that we can achieve completely different tolerances than when it is built on site, says Mikael Lindberg.
